Aorist in Luke 3:22
σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἐν σοὶ εὐδόκησα.
The aorist here is usually translated as a present i.e. “I am well-pleased” and I’m trying to understand why.
