Xenophon, Cyropaedia 2.4.18
ἀετὸς δ᾽ ἐπιπτόμενος αἴσιος
"an eagle flying up from the east"
αἴσιος means, strictly speaking, “auspicious,” “bringing (good) omens;” and good omens came from the east, the home of light.

Here αἴσιος is interpreted as east.
cf. ἐν αἰσίοις ἕδραις In the eastern chambers".

Job 9:9 חדרי תמן
ἑδραία μεσημβρινός The southern chambers?

αἴσιος, ἀίσσω and ἀετός also occupy עיט.

Isaiah 46:11
ἀπ᾽ ἀνατολῶν ἀετόν "from the east an eagle"

1 Samuel 14:32
ὁ λαὸς ἤιξεν εἰς ἕλωρα "the people rushed to the spoils"
